about

Since 1980, Paul Winter and his Consort have been artists-in-residence at New York’s Cathedral of St. John the Divine, where they have presented annual Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice Celebrations in the extraordinary acoustics of this largest cathedral in the world.

In keeping with the universal embrace of the solstices, and the intercultural ecumenical welcoming tradition of the Cathedral, these milestone concerts have always featured special guest performers from different cultures of the world. Everybody Under the Sun is an anthology from the first four decades of these events, featuring 22 singers from 13 cultures of five continents around the world.
